Dance Energy will transcend the barriers of classical and contemporary dance and shine a light on the very best Queensland artists.
Commissioned by Brisbane Festival, this world premiere performance is the first ever collaboration between Dancenorth, Expressions Dance Company (EDC) and Queensland Ballet.
Dancenorth’s Raewyn Hill, EDC’s Natalie Weir and Queensland Ballet’s Gareth Belling will each create a piece to music composed by Australia’s greatest living composer, Peter Sculthorpe.
To bring the performance to a stunning conclusion, London based, New Zealand choreographer Cameron McMillan will create a crescendo of movement using dancers from all three companies.
Dance Energy will be a rare moment in dance and a Festival highlight not to be missed.
